Originally from Oklahoma, R. Knick Myers relocated his family to East Tennessee in the early 1990’s. Prior to the transition to Tennessee, Mr. Myers earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Oklahoma where he was an active member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Mr. Myers is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Speaking and Human Relations, and completed pre-graduate work in the fields of architecture, construction management and engineering at Oklahoma State University, as well as earning a Masters of Business Administration degree of Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma.

R. Knick Myers and his brother, Noah L. Myers, founded Myers Bros. Holdings in 1994 with the creation of Myers Bros. Ace Hardware and Building Materials in Dixie Lee Junction, Tennessee. The success of the endeavor evolved into the vertical integration of land development, construction, real estate investments, real estate brokerage and other ventures.

In addition to Mr. Myers’s responsibilities of being a partner and officer of Myers Bros. Holdings, CornerStone Realty Associates LLC and CornerStone Construction, Mr. Myers is an Owner-Partner and Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Sandestin (Hilton) Beach Hotel, Ltd. in Destin Florida.

Mr. Myers is a Tennessee licensed Commercial and Residential Contractor, as well as a Tennessee licensed real estate agent. Mr. Myers is a retired Director of SouthEast Bank. SouthEast Bank’s corporate headquarters are located within the Myers’ Renaissance|Farragut development in Farragut, Tennessee. Mr. Myers is also a past Director on the Tennessee Board of Directors of United Community Bank (NASDAQ: UCBI).

Mr. Myers was an active member of the Lenoir City Civitan Club, where he was a past President, as well as holding numerous other positions within his nearly three decade tenure of the hundred years the civic organization served East Tennessee. Mr. Myers’ various other past civic duties include being a past two-term Director on the Board of Directors of the Farragut/West Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, a past Director on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Loudon County, Tennessee, and a past Director on the Board of Directors for Lenoir City Committee of 100.

Mr. Myers serves as a member of the St. John Neumann Catholic Church Finance Committee. Mr. Myers served three terms as a member of the St. John Neumann Catholic School Board, serving as Chariman for two of those terms. Mr. Myers is a founding member and served two terms on the Farragut Tennessee Economic Development Committee. Mr. Myers is an alumnus-member and past executive committee member of Nucleus Knoxville. Nucleus Knoxville is a prestigious private organization of 75 individuals under 45 years of age that have been selected for membership due to their outstanding leadership skills, with the organization’s objective “to identify, support, and educate new dynamic leadership in the greater Knoxville area.”

The Myers’ family are active members of St. John Neumann Catholic Church (SJNCC) in Farragut, Tennessee. Mr. Myers was a member of the SJNCC building committee that managed the construction of the magnificent stone sanctuary that is now located on the SJN 60+ acre campus. Mr. Myers resides in Farragut, Tennessee with his wife of over thirty years, Dr. Stephanie Myers, DVM. Mr. & Dr. Myers have two daughters; Sara, a Berry College Biochemistry & Spanish major graduating Magna Cum Laude while playing 4 years on the Womens Varisty Tennis Team. Sara is concurrently pursuing both a Medical Degree and a Master Degree of Public Health. Ella is an upper class-man at Rhodes College in the Pre-Dental program pursuing degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Health Equity, and Religious Studies.
